Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Recognizing Wilderness Mindsets
Day 1: The Rebellious and Stubborn Mindset
Day 2: The Complaining Mindset
Day 3: The Forgetful Mindset
Day 4: Minding the Past
Day 5: The Mindset of Discontentment
What should have been an 11-day trip to the Promised Land became a 40-year journey. Most of that generation died before entering the land. Why? Take a look at the people. We see a people who were disobedient, complainers, ungrateful, stubborn, full of unbelief and unwilling to let go of the past. As sad as that sounds, what is even more sad is that this wilderness mindset is prevalent in the church today.
If any of these mindsets describe you, or you feel like you have been wandering around in the wilderness for too long, be encouraged. God wants to set you free and give you hope for a better future. He can and will if we allow the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to shovel up the weeds and break the hardened soil in our hearts so He will have room to do what He wants to do in us — something fresh.
