Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Mind Is the Battlefield
Day 1: Pick Up Your Weapons
Day 2: Bringing Thoughts Captive to the Obedience of Christ
Day 3: Armed and Dangerous
Day 4: Victors...Not Victims
Day 5: The Privilege, Power and Promise of Prayer
Satan attempts to defeat us with all types of lies. John 8:44 calls Satan “a liar and the father of it.” As mentioned throughout this study, it is important to know the Word of God. Only then will we recognize when Satan is coming at us with his lies of hopelessness, criticism and suspicions. These thoughts are not from our Heavenly Father; so take them captive in obedience to Christ.
Don’t get discouraged, my friend. We have promises from God in 1 John 4:4 that “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” God did not leave us orphans but has sealed us with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. When we use His Word—the Sword of the Spirit—to fight Satan, he and his lies are sliced and diced and made useless. Remember: Satan’s greatest tool is a lie. Our greatest tool is truth from God’s Word.
