About the Author

Judy Golightly loves to share the word of God with others to encourage them.  Saved on October 11, 1982, at a Bailey Smith revival in Dallas, she has been studying God's Word ever since, serving as both a Precept student and leader.

She felt the Lord calling her to write about topics focusing on the renewal of the mind because He began to show her the truth of Proverbs 23:7 - "For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he" - that many of her own problems were rooted in wrong thinking.  She wrote "The Power in Thinking God's Way" to help people understand the importance of their thought lives and to show how to apply the Word of God and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit in every situation of life daily.

Judy is living proof that there is power in thinking God's way.  One month after completing her Bible Study, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Judy overcame the devastation of mastectomy and weeks of chemotherapy by choosing to think and meditate on God's promises instead of the difficult circumstances going on in her life.  God used the months that she spent writing the Power in Thinking God's Way to build a strong foundation under her that couldn't be shaken by adversity.  The Power in Thinking God's Way led Judy to become a victorious overcomer and a living testimony to the power of God and His Word.

Judy Golightly lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, Bill, with whom she has shared the past 44 years.  They have one daughter, Keri, who resides in San Antonio with her husband, Clint Poulter.  God has blessed Judy with two beautiful grandchildren, Allison and Clinton Poulter.
